Resource Management and Te Tiriti Training
Learn how to apply Te Tiriti and its principles as part of policy and planning processes

Mahea offer a range of bespoke training solutions. We have experience designing and facilitating training to a range of stakeholders, including government agencies, local government and Māori.

RMA training

We work in a range of spaces in terms of resource management policy development, plan reviews and plan implementation

With changes to the RMA proposed later this year and early next year, we will have first-hand experience working in these new processes. We will be able to prepare tailored training that is suited to your organisational context and focus on the matters most relevant to your team’s needs.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi training

Te Tiriti o Waitangi is the constitutional bedrock of Aotearoa and is of fundamental importance to policy and planning. All those involved in policy and planning need an understanding of Te Tiriti and its principles and, critically, how to apply Te Tiriti and its principles as part of policy and planning processes.

We offer training courses for organisations and individuals who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti, its principles, and application to policy and planning.

We offer courses that can provide:

  • a foundational or an in-depth understanding of Te Tiriti and its principles,
  • ‘good practice’ techniques for how to apply Te Tiriti and its principles to policy,
  • guidance on the application of Te Tiriti and its principles in the context of the resource management system, with a focus on the Resource Management Act 1991.
